It has been 8 years since Hélène Grimaud performed with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and this week was something of a reunion as they came together for the opening concert of the new season in Sweden.

Together with the French conductor Stéphane Deneve, Hélène joined the orchestra for an all French programme which included the Ravel Piano Concerto in G. Reviewing the concert this morning the Göteborg Posten commented “Precision, brilliancy and complete freedom must be the words to characterise this performance by Hélène Grimaud who belongs to the world´s most talented artists.”

Hélène performs again with the orchestra on Saturday 8 September and returns to Sweden later in the month for concerts in Stockholm with the Swedish Radio Orchestra (21 and 22 September) performing Brahms Piano Concerto no. 2
