Royal Affair

The Nordic countries have recently been making news with a series of state of the art concert halls and opera houses which have been built in the last few years – Copenhagen, Reyervick, Oslo and Helsinki have all been in the news.

Now it’s the turn of Stavanger which this weekend opens an amazing new hall with a gala concert for which Hélène Grimaud has been invited to perform Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major. Joining the festivities are the King and Queen of Norway whilst the rest of the country will be following events through non stop tv and press coverage.
