This December, Hélène Grimaud joins forces with Turner-prize winning artist Douglas Gordon for a large-scale event at New York’s historic Park Avenue Armory. For ten nights, Hélène will perform her water-inspired repertoire in the monumental Wade Thompson Drill Hall as part of an immersive installation titled tears become… streams become… The special installation and performance will transcend traditional art forms and feature an immense field of water that will span and transform the Armory’s Wade Thompson Drill Hall. Hélène will perform a program of water inspired works by Debussy, Ravel, Liszt, and others, creating a confluence of live music and visual art that allows audiences to experience this celebrated music in a refreshingly new way.
