This Friday Hélène Grimaud and Sol Gabetta’s new album entitled “Duo” will be released in Europe. France’s leading music magazine, Diapason, has already announced it as Recording of the Month and Germany’s Rondo has also given the album top billing.
In the States where the album will be released later this month the Contra Costa Times wrote: “Put on your headphones, close the door and soak in these direct-connection performances of Schumann, Brahms, Debussy and Shostakovich by pianist Grimaud and cellist Gabetta. This is terrific.”
Next week Hélène Grimaud will be in Brussels and Paris promoting the new album including appearances on air with Klara Radio (Belgium), Radio Classique, Europe 1, France Infos and France Inter.
