Gabetta, Argentinean cellist and currently “Artist in Residence” at the Philharmonie, and French pianist Hélène Grimaud, are absolute mega-stars of the classical music scene. They are considered two of the most famous artists of our time and they are about to record an album together in the Alfried Krupp Saal, Essen.”

Germany’s Der Western newspaper reveals plans for Hélène Grimaud’s next recording on Deutsche Grammophon – a duet recording with Sol Gabetta featuring works by Debussy, Brahms and Shostakovich. The idea for the recording developed following the artists’ collaboration at last year’s Menuhin Festival in Gstaad.
