With the summer season in full swing Hélène Grimaud will appear as Artist in Residence at the Gstaad Festival. Founded by Yehudi Menuhin after he moved to this outstanding region of the Swiss mountains with his family in the 1950’s, the festival now stands as one of Europe’s finest. Hélène performs three differing programmes in the coming week, opening with Beethoven’s Piano concerto no. 4 (July 18), a solo recital (July 20) and a programme of Bach and the little known Ukranian composer Valentin Silvestrov with Zurich’s Tonhalle Orchestra (July 22).

From Gstaad, Hélène Grimaud travels on to another of Switzerland’s finest festivals in Verbier where she performs the Resonances recital programme (July 25) before heading for the States and the Hollywood Bowl.
